Isla Fisher is in negotiations to join Baz Lurhmann’s 3D adaptation of The Great Gatsby, but Ben Affleck couldn't commit because of his planned directing gig with Argo, reports Heat Vision and Deadline.com.
Wedding Crashers star Fisher will play the tragic Myrtle, a married woman having an affair with what was supposed to be Affleck's character. Leonardo DiCaprio, Carey Mulligan and Tobey Maguire are all set for their parts, but Lurhmann still has a number of roles to fill, and will apparently cast a lot of Australians - he's filming in his home country.
Shooting is slated to kick off on the big budgeted epic sometime in late summer.
