Disney's Oz: The Great and Powerful may only be hitting our cinema screens today, but word on the street is the studio have already put in an order for a sequel to Sam Raimi's magical adventure in Oz.
As per Variety, the call's gone in for a sequel to the prequel. They say the studio had already commissioned writer Mitchell Kapner to begin work on a script a few months back, and the critics have said that the film's ending (which we won't be spoiling for you here anyway) leaves the door wide open for more shenanigans in The Emerald City.
Disney have spent over $200 million on the movie, so we're pretty sure any further trips down the yellow brick road will depend on how it performs at the box office. You can catch it in Irish cinemas from today and fins out what our Rory thought of the movie right here.
Our Caroline headed over to London to chat with the film's stars last week, and you can see how she got on with James Franco and Zach Braff, Mila Kunis, Rachel Weisz, Michelle Williams and Sam Raimi right here.
