Art Parkinson, the increasingly prolific Irish pre-teen star of Game of Thrones, has bagged himself a major role opposite Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson in the action flick, San Andreas.
According to the folks at IFTN, the plot of the film revolves around the aftermath of a massive earthquake in California; 12 year old Parkinson will play a 10 year old fleeing the state (he already has range), while Johnson is a chopper pilot looking for his missing daughter. The ace Carla Gugino is also slated to star. Brad Peyton (Journey 2) is directing the film
The youngster has previously appeared in Red Mist and Dark Touch, and appears in the incoming Irish shot Dracula Untold, playing Luke Evans’ son.
The fourth season of Game of Thrones premieres in April.
