We're pretty excited about the upcoming Avengers Assemble sequel here at entertainment towers, so you can only imagine the mini brain explosions that occurred here in the office when we heard Hugh Jackman wanted to get in on the action with Robert Downey Jr and co.
As per Screen Rant, the Wolverine and X-Men star would love to see his character hopping around the Marvel universe, and tearing up the silver screen with those mighty Avengers. "One of the great things about [The Wolverine] is that a lot of people from Marvel are here and it seems a lot more inclusive than it has been in the past" he explained.
"I don’t know what’s happening behind the scenes, but I think it’s fantastic. I actually just asked the other day, I said, 'I don’t know what the legal situation is, but why don’t these companies come together? Why isn’t it possible?’" Jackman revealed. "Because personally, I would love to mix it up with Robert Downey Jr. and Iron Man and kick his ass. It’d be great... Consistency is incredible. Who wouldn’t want to be involved with that?"
For those of you who don't know, Marvel Studios is owned by Disney, but the rights to the X-Men films still belong to Fox. Unless the studios team up, it's highly unlikely that we'll see Hugh's dream coming true any time soon, but sure we can hope, eh?
