We're probably more used to seeing Hugh Jackman play the hero, but to portray a villain as cool as Peter Pan's Blackbeard would be a nice change of gear for the man we can probably all admit to being sick to death of seeing in his Wolverine claws. And he's not done yet, he's still got X-Men: Days of Future Past to go.
While most of us will associate Captain Hook with the villainous role in Peter Pan, this version of the story (with the film title Pan) goes back to original villain Blackbeard, well before Hook betrayed Pan (and thus becoming the villain), with director Joe Wright at the helm.
The role was originally offered to Hollywood's go-to villain actor, Javier Bardem, but old Javier's probably had enough of the bad guys for one year.
