The big budget musical The Nine has just bagged its leading lady. Kate Hudson will belt out the tunes whilst busting a couple of moves as Stephanie, a fashion reporter who works for Vogue in Italy. Already in the cast are Daniel Day Lewis, Nicole Kidman, Marion Cotillard, Judi Dench, Sophia Loren and Penelope Cruz. The role of Stephanie was hotly contested, with most A-list actresses in Hollywood going for it; it apparently come down to Hudson or Anne Hathaway. We reckon they made the right choice. The film will be helmed by Chicago head honcho Rob Marshall.
