Last December, Ireland got its first and only IMAX cinema screen in Cineworld Dublin, and since then it has been filled with the best new IMAX releases every week. But next week sees the screen get a little IMAX retrospective, as Cineworld show some of the best and biggest IMAX releases that may have passed us by.
On top of recent IMAX releases Elysium and Jurassic Park 3D, Cineworld Dublin will also be showing special limited runs of Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, Life Of Pi, Prometheus, Star Trek Into Darkness and Avatar: Special Extended Version.
The special IMAX run begins Friday 27th September and ends Thursday 3rd October, with some of the movies only being shown twice during that entire week, so to avoid disappointment, make sure you check out www.cineworld.ie for the full details on each films specific dates and times.
On top of that, the box office has just opened for bookings of a triple bill beginning at 7pm on Tuesday 29th October, which will consist of back-to-back IMAX screenings of Thor and Avengers Assemble, before the midnight IMAX screening of Thor: The Dark World. That's 425 minutes of Marvel-ousness (see what we did there?), so only the die-hard comic-book fans need apply!
