Given how scary - and hilarious - Chucky was back in the days, it'll be interesting to see whether the reboot of 'Child's Play' still has the twisted sense of humour intact to make it work.
The first image from the 'Child's Play' reboot, which recently confirmed 'Parks & Recreation' alum Aubrey Plaza and 'Atlanta' breakout Bryan Tyree Henry as its lead, gives us our first look at the real star - Chucky.

Granted, there's not a lot to go on here and the original design appears to be updated slightly, so it's really hard to say how it's going to work. The original creator - Don Mancini - took to Twitter shortly after the promo image was released to make his feelings clear on the subject.

Because of complex studio negotiations, MGM owns the right's to the original and is why they're remaking it whilst Don Mancini is involved with the upcoming 'Chucky' TV series, and probably why he's got so little time for the remake.
No release date has been set for the 'Child's Play' reboot.
