The 2019 Oscars nominations are announced on Tuesday 22nd January
In just over 24 hours from the time of writing, the 91st Academy Awards ceremony comes that bit closer. Here's where to watch the Oscars nominations.
Kumail Nanjiani ('The Big Sick') and Tracee Ellis Ross ('Girlfriends', 'Black-ish') share announcement duties this year.
The first half of the announcements include the nominees for Best Supporting Actor and Actress, Costume Design, Film Editing, Animated and Live Action Short Films, Sound Editing and Mixing, and Original Score. The second half (commencing ten minutes later) covers the remaining categories.
Movies that are likely to get a few Oscars noinations include 'A Star is Born', 'Bohemian Rhapsody', 'Green Book', 'Vice' and 'Roma'.
Of Irish interest, here's hoping 'The Favourite' will get a few nods. Irish short films 'Detainment' (live-action) and 'Late Afternoon' (animated) will also be in the running for an Oscar nomination, having been shortlisted in their respective categories.
There are a variety of platforms on offer for where to watch the Oscar nominations.
Below is the Youtube link.
The Academy will also stream the announcement from Facebook, Twitter and their official website.
The big reveal kicks off at 1.20pm (Irish time).
Following that, the Oscars ceremony itself will take place on Sunday, February 24.
