For those who may be reading this outside of Ireland and are unsure of who Don Conroy is and his impact, here's a quick summary.
Don Conroy basically thought an entire generation how to draw and made us learn about and appreciate animals and nature - in particular owls and robins, which he drew a lot of. Draw With Don was his segment on the daily children's TV show The Den (or previously Dempsey's Den), where he dispensed his good-hearted wisdom to the nation, and he also picked out some of the best drawings sent in by children.
Anyway, The Den is no more but Don Conroy is still with us and it's always great to see what he's up to - and, in this instance, it's reviewing Christopher Nolan's Dunkirk at the IFI.
Take a look.
The legendary Don Conroy popped in to see Dunkirk in 70mm tonight, and here's what he had to say! #Dunkirk #IFI70mm @donconroy pic.twitter.com/2pT7W1p2Kc
