Although we're a while away yet from seeing any kind of trailer or footage, these first few set photos from 'Hobbs & Shaw', the long-awaited 'Fast and Furious' spinoff with Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham, have us unreasonably excited.
For one thing, you've got David Leitch of 'John Wick' and 'Atomic Blonde' fame behind the camera and directing the action, you've also got Johnson and Statham teaming up for it, and there's also the fact that all of this is probably going to drive Vin Diesel crazy because of that beef between him and Johnson.
The set photos are taken from The Rock and David Leitch's Instagram and show Statham, decked out in a tuxedo, getting ready to drive what appears to be a McLaren P1 into action. Take a look.
Plot details are light at the minute, but it's been confirmed that Vanessa Kirby will be playing Statham's on-screen sister whilst Idris Elba will be taking on the role of the as-yet unnamed villain of the piece.
'Hobbs & Shaw' arrives in Irish cinemas on August 2nd, 2019.
