Awards season is officially upon us and along with the Golden Globes nominations this week comes the Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Nominees in both the film and television categories were revealed today in a short ceremony by Sophia Bush and Common, and it's looking like 'Manchester by the Sea' is the movie to beat this year as it took home four nominations, with 'Moonlight' and 'Fences' close behind with three each.

It's going to be a hell of a fight in the female actor categories, with Amy Adams, Natalie Portman, Emma Stone and perennial nominee Meryl Streep all going up against each other (with Emily Blunt in their too for good measure) in the 'Leading Role' camp, while Viola Davis, Naomie Harris and Michelle Williams facing off in the 'Supporting Role' category.

As for the male actors, it's 'Manchester by the Sea' stars Casey Affleck and Lucas Hedges' to lose, although Ryan Gosling will give Affleck some competition with his all-singing, all-dancing turn in 'La La Land'.

We'll find out who's on top when the awards take place on Sunday January 29th.
