Harry Potter And The Half Blood Prince has been pushed backed from its November release to July 17 2009 by Warner Brothers. The studio said they were delaying the film as the writers strike has pushed back blockbusters that they’d planned to open next summer. Warner’s are still riding high on the huge success of The Dark Knight, but had a massive failure in the summer with expected moneymaker Speed Racer. They obviously want a sure thing to plant in the summer that will take up their yearly profit in 2009 - as opposed to merely adding to a stellar 2008.
