Michel Gondry has replaced Kung Fu Hustle director Stephen Chow as director of the action comedy The Green Hornet. The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind director takes the helm after Chow bowed out due to creative differences, but remained on the project as an actor. Seth Rogen is to play the titular character from his own script with long-time collaborator Evan Goldberg, and the inclusion of Gondry just makes the project all the more interesting. The man is yet to tackle action; but remember what happened when a quirky Indie director called Doug Liman moved down that route for the first time? Yep, The Bourne Identity. Rogen is always funny anyway, but it'll be interesting to see how the action is handled all the same.
