Its UK and Irish release date is also likely to be pushed up

The release date of 'Godzilla Vs. Kong' has been moved up by 2 months.

The monster movie was originally scheduled to hit cinemas on May 21st.

It now arrives in theatres on March 26th and will be available to stream on HBO Max from the same date.

As announced late last year, Warner Bros. are releasing their 2021 slate in cinemas and on their streaming platform consecutively.

Their first project which launched in cinemas and on HBO Max on the same day was 'Wonder Woman 1984'.

The likes of 'Dune', 'Space Jam: A New Legacy', 'The Suicide Squad', 'In The Heights', 'Judas and the Black Messiah', 'The Many Saints of Newark', 'The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It', 'Mortal Kombat', 'Tom & Jerry: The Movie', and 'The Matrix 4' will follow suit across the next year.

A new sneak peek of 'Godzilla Vs. Kong' was revealed in a HBO Max teaser this weekend.

It marks the fourth film in Legendary's MonsterVerse.

It's a sequel to both 'Godzilla: King of the Monsters' and 'Kong: Skull Island', and sees the titular monsters face off.

The release date for 'Godzilla Vs. Kong' in Ireland and the UK is still currently listed as May 21st.

However, this is likely to move up.

Previously, 'Wonder Woman 1984' hit cinemas on this side of the pond on December 16th.

It became available for streaming last week.

As for future Warners titles, 'Space Jam: A New Legacy' has a release date of July 16th, 2021.

WarnerMedia and Legendary are still hashing it out as to whether 'Dune', which is currently scheduled for October 1st, will go both theatrical and get a HBO Max day-and-date release.

The 'Sopranos' movie 'The Many Saints of Newark' was recently postponed from March 12th to September 24th.
