Prepare for a nostalgia overload
The first official trailer for 'Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire' has landed within the last 24 hours, and the general consensus amongst fans of the long-running franchise seems positive.
The sequel to 2021's 'Afterlife' will be released in March - but fans had little to go on, other than a short teaser that was released a couple of months ago.
Now, the full trailer has been unveiled and sees descendants of Egon Spengler take up his mantle, and join forces with the OG Ghostbusters in a bid to prevent the world from a second ice age, after the discovery of an ancient artifact unleashes an evil force.
The cast includes Paul Rudd, Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray, Kumail Nanjiani, Patton Oswalt, 'Stranger Things' star Finn Wolfhard and more.
And yes, even Slimer makes an appearance.
One viewer wrote with delight: "The whole gang coming together is such an anticipation! Literally my childhood", while another said "Okay, after hearing “Ghostbusters? What do you want?”, I’m totally sold on this movie. Can’t wait to see it in theaters!"
