In a matching of two very different styles of comedy, Ryan Reynolds will star opposite Zach Galifianakis in the action comedy, R.I.P.D.
In the film Reynolds will play a deceased cop trying to track down the man who murdered him, while Galifianakis will play a fellow spirit and lawman from the 1800s who partners with his modern detective. Red director Robert Schwentke is calling the shots, after the success of the (meh!) geriatric action film saw his stock rise significantly in the eyes of the studios.
Reynolds was apparently deciding between R.I.P.D and Deadpool, and obviously appears to have gone with the former - a damn shame given the possibilities of Deadpool. Still, I'll sign up to see whatever he's starring in - Galifianakis is just a bonus.
