Despite being slaughtered by pretty much every critic with access to a computer, I didn't hate Friday The 13th, the remake (we're talking about a lot of those today) which saw the burly stabber return in a glossy fashion. Turns out, neither did the cinema going public, who made the production a solid hit when it opened a few months back. Needless to say a sequel is in the works, which will be *drum roll* the 13th film in the franchise that just can't be killed - much like its machete wielding maniac. No word on if Marcus Nispel with be returning to helm, but it is firmly on the fast track at Warner Bros. who will be the funding studio along with Michael Bay's Platinum Dunes production company.
