Sin City and The Spirit director Frank Miller is officially attached to a new cinematic incarnation of Buck Rogers. Despite scathing reviews of The Spirit, he has managed to bag the much mooted franchise starter that began as a comic book strip in the 1920's - just how long Miller remains attached to the project may very well depend on the opening of The Spirit, though. The plot is simplicity personified, as Rogers essentially falls asleep and wakes up in the 25th century to find earth has had the shit blown out of it. Miller is a genius comic book writer and illustrator, being responsible for both 300 and Sin City, but it looks like he may be struggling to transfer that ability (solo) to the big screen.
