James Franco has been on a winning streak of late, and the actor continues to impress after brilliant performances in both Pineapple Express and Milk. Next up, he'll star in the quirky sounding production Howl, which according to Variety, centers on the obscenity trial over Allen Ginsberg's poem, and will also include an animated reimaging of the poem itself. Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman will produce the film and direct from their own screenplay, having previously won a directing gong in Sundance in 2000 for Paragraph 175.
