Following on from its poster being released a couple of weeks ago, some first-look images from the new highly anticipated film from M. Night Shyamalan, ‘Glass’, have been unveiled.
The movie is set in the same universe as last year’s hit horror movie ‘Split’, starring James McAvoy, and the 2000 movie ‘Unbreakable’.
‘Unbreakable’ starred Samuel L. Jackson and Bruce Willis and both will be reprising their respective characters of Mr. Glass and David Dunn, joined by McAvoy’s The Horde.
A trailer for ‘Glass’ debuted at CinemaCon showing the trio receiving psychiatric treatment.
Anna Taylor-Joy, who featured in ‘Split’, appears to be back for ‘Glass’ while Sarah Paulson, who plays the lead characters’ psychiatrist, also features in the images released by Entertainment Weekly.
“She deals with people that think they’re comic-book characters,” Shyamalan said of Paulson’s character. “It’s kind of the modern-day equivalent of ‘I think I’m Jesus’ or ‘I’m an emperor.’”
McAvoy revealed “we get to spend some time with some new people that live inside [his character]”, but aside from that, no plot details have been divulged just yet.
The movie will land in Irish cinemas on January 18th, 2019.
