"The Snap" isn't quite as effective without the computer magic to make it real.
That headline might seem like we're being glib, but really, it's more of a salute to the incredible CGI work that goes into making movies like 'Avengers: Endgame' looks significantly less ridiculous.
The finale of 'Avengers: Endgame' sees Tony Stark, played by Robert Downey Jr. these past 10 years, end his life by snapping the Infinity Gauntlet and wiping out Thanos once and for all. The snap, of course, kills Stark in the process - but saves everyone else and reunites the Marvel Cinematic Universe as one entity.
It's compelling stuff, and made all the more potent by the huge amounts of CGI that goes into it. The moment was captured on a shaky camera phone by Downey Jr.'s long-time assistant, Jimmy Rich, and was posted to Instagram just yesterday.
So any fears you might have about 'Avengers: Endgame' being spoiled are, well, pretty unfounded. Take a look.
