Yes, really.
A group of fans are planning to "peacefully protest" outside of Warner Bros. studio lot in Burbank, California on Saturday in the hopes that they'll eventually release the cut of Justice League that Zack Snyder reportedly delivered before Joss Whedon stepped in. The protest, which has been organised by a YouTuber called Itzmoe on Facebook, will see fans " take a photo in front of Warner Bros. with a #ReleaseTheSnyderCut sign while wearing our Zack Snyder shirts/ DC shirts, & costumes to (peacefully) show our support for the release of a Snyder cut of Justice League!"
OK then.
A piece by Vanity Fair in November of last year claimed that the studio effectively micro-managed Justice League, mandating that it come at or under two hours, with almost an hour of Snyder's work left on the editing room floor. It's hard to know whether or not Snyder's cut was merely an assembly cut - which are often far, far longer than the finished film - or if it was the finished product he intended.
As it stands, Warner Bros. have yet to announce any plans for a Director's Cut of Justice League, or for that matter, releasing a Zack Snyder cut of the film.
