Along with meeting Johnny Depp - watch that here - I also had the pleasure of sitting down with the very lovely Armie Hammer. He's charming, he's tall, he's played a prince before and I can damn well see why; in short, he's a ride. Unfortunately though, he's married, so there goes that pipe dream.
Armie stars here as The Lone Ranger himself, and while the movie has yet to make an impression at the box office, Mr Hammer (it's only occuring to me know that I didn't make a Hammer Time joke, DAMN IT!) does a fine job of playing the law man turned masked vigilante. He holds is own opposite Johnny Depp and as Jerry Bruckheimer himself has said, regardless of how well this does, Armie will emerge from The Lone Ranger as a fully fledged star.
When I asked him about how that made him feel, how he'd handle the paparazzi and all that goes along with it, he launched into a full-scale rant of his conspiracy theories concerning said paps.
