England footballers Rio Ferdinand and Ashley Cole are to produce and part fund a "gangland" British film that is to star 50 Cent. The flick is called Dead Man Running and will also star Danny Dyer (who's contractually obliged to appear in every British gangster movie), Tamar Hassan, Brenda Blethyn and Monet Mazur. 'Fiddy' will play a loan shark who tells Dyer's loveable rogue (purely a guess) that he'll break his legs, or possibly his neck, if he doesn't pay him the clams he owes him pronto; so Danny legs it to Manchester to try and get the dough from an underground drug scene. The film is being directed by the visionary mind behind Orlando Bloom starrer The Calcium Kid, Alex De Rakoff. Dyer recently told reporters that he thought Bloom was a "talentless w****r" so we like him.
