From a princess to a lady.
Although she'll undoubtedly be associated with 'The Crown' and her Golden Globe-winning performance as Princess Diana for some time, Emma Corrin's moving on already.
The young actor is set to star in a new adaptation of the famed romance novel, 'Lady Chatterley's Lover', where Corrin will play the titular character. The novel itself has been highly controversial down through the years for its sexually explicit content.
The novel was originally published in 1929, but wasn't openly available until 1960 when it was part of a landmark obscenity trial in the UK. As well as the numerous controversies that surrounded it, the novel was adapted several times for television and movies.
Versions of the novel hit screens in the '50s in France, the '70s in India, a BBC adaptation in the '90s with Joely Richardson and Sean Bean, and another about six years ago with Holliday Grainger, James Norton, and Richard Madden.
No further casting or release date has been announced as of yet for this latest adaptation, but it is known that Laure de Clermont-Tonnerre - who previously directed 'The Mustang' and 'Mrs. America' - is set to direct a script by David Magee, who previously adapted 'Life of Pi' for the big screen.
