Dwayne Johnson is a very nice man. I had the pleasure of interviewing him about a year ago, and he's a total gent, who genuinely doesn't mind doing press - which is rarer than a duck doing a back stroke. One of the things I asked him was why he didn't do as many action movies as he used to, as his fans obviously love seeing him in those roles. The Artist Formally Known As The Rock assured me he had something up his sleeve. Now, he has something up both sleeves.

Johnson has just wrapped production on Faster, where he plays a man out to avenge his brother's death after they were double crossed during a heist years ago. He also plays a super cop in the Will Ferrell/Mark Wahlberg action comedy, The Other Guys, which looks like a lot of fun, and has now reportedly replaced Clive Owen in Protection. In the latter, which sounds like an out-and-out action fest, Johnson would play a disgraced former special forces soldier, who seeks redemption by rescuing a judge's daughter from a Mexican cartel.

The man has charisma to burn; anyone who disagrees with me should rent out Welcome to the Jungle. Although, given the crap he's been churning out lately, you'd be forgiven for not seeing that. Anyhow, he's busting heads again - good times!
