The movie is shooting in Belfast this year
The cast for the upcoming 'Dungeons and Dragons' movie is shaping up nicely.
It had previously been confirmed that Chris Pine will lead the 'Dungeons and Dragons' cast. Now Michelle Rodriguez and Justice Smith join him.
The feature is reportedly shooting in Titanic Studios in Belfast, which also provided the location for 'Game of Thrones'.
Filming is scheduled for the first quarter of this year.
'Dungeons and Dragons' was previously adapted in 2000. The live-action movie starred Jeremy Irons, Thora Birch and Marlon Wayans, and was a critical and box office flop.
Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley are directing. They previously helmed 'Game Night' and penned the screenplay for 'Spider-Man: Homecoming'.
Hasbro/eOne and Paramount are jointly producing and financing 'Dungeons and Dragons'.
eOne will distribute in the UK and Canada, and Paramount will across the rest of the world.
Michelle Rodriguez and Justice Smith's exact roles are currently being kept under wraps.
Rodriguez is best-known for playing Letty in the 'Fast and Furious' franchise, and will reprise the role this year in 'F9'.
Smith's past credits include 'Pokémon: Detective Pikachu' and 'Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom'.
Plot details for this latest take on the fantasy gaming franchise are also a secret for now.
The movie is set for release on May 27, 2022.
