'Downton Abbey: A New Era' will arrive in cinemas later than expected
It'll be just a little while longer before Lord and Lady Grantham, as well as Lady Mary, Lady Edith, The Dowager and more, grace the big screen again.
The release of the second movie sequel to the hit period drama 'Downton Abbey' has been delayed.
The series ran from 2010 to 2015, with its first movie follow-up proving a smash at the box office in 2019.
'Downton Abbey: A New Era' sees all the regular cast members return.
They include Hugh Bonneville, Laura Carmichael, Jim Carter, Brendan Coyle, Michelle Dockery, Kevin Doyle, Joanne Froggatt, Harry Hadden-Paton, Robert James-Collier, Allen Leech, Phyllis Logan, Elizabeth McGovern, Sophie McShera, Tuppence Middleton, Lesley Nicol, Maggie Smith, Imelda Staunton, and Penelope Wilton.
Joining the cast for the movie are Hugh Dancy, Laura Haddock, Nathalie Baye, Dominic West, and Jonathan Zaccaï.
The 'Downton Abbey' movie sees the Crawley family take a trip to the south of France.
The Dowager (Maggie Smith) reveals a secret while Tom Branson (Allen Leech) ties the knot again.
The film was rescheduled for 18 March, 2022, after an initial release date of 22 December, 2021.
'Downton Abbey: A New Era' now hits cinemas on 29 April.
In the US, it streams on Peacock from 2 May.
