Robert Downey Jr. has spoken to MTV about The Avengers movie that he will appear in after the Iron Man sequel in 2010: "The danger you run with colliding all these worlds is Jon (Favreau) was very certain that Iron Man should be set in a very realistic world. Nothing that happened in Iron Man is really outside the realm of possibility. Once you start talking about Valhalla and supersized super soldiers and jolly green giants it warrants much further discussion." He's spewing to poke the fires of fanboy mania, obviously; but he did still offer up a couple of hints as to the tone of the production. Jon Favreau is set to just produce the film, having already moved into preproduction on Iron Man 2, which is due for release a couple of months before The Avengers.
