Some people are very angry that Pumbaa the warthog looks like... a warthog
With just 50 days to go until the release of the long-awaited live action remake of 'The Lion King', Disney have given audiences a proper glimpse at how each character is going to look.
The animated versions of the likes of Simba, Nala, Scar, Timon and Pumbaa have been seared into the consciousness of a generation - but following the release of the official trailer a month ago, now you can get a proper look at more of the beloved characters.
The likes of Donald Glover (Simba), Beyonce (Nala), James Earl Jones (Mufasa), Chiwetel Ejiofor (Scar) are set to feature in the remake of the much-loved 1994 film, directed by Jon Favreau. It hits Irish cinemas on July 19th.

The reaction has been generally positive amongst fans... apart from some who are disappointed that Pumba the warthog looks like an actual warthog and not an animated warthog. Imagine!
I've seen genuinely angry tweets about what Pumbaa looks like in the live-action Lion King. What the fuck did you think warthogs looked like in real life? pic.twitter.com/5cVwUmPJ7X

So they did put in some facial design! I was worried that they would look just like normal lions. But now I can see the distinguishable look. They kept Mufasa’s broad skull and wide muzzle as well as Scar’s pointy jaw. Scar looks awesome, by the way. #TheLionKing
