Johnny Depp has rivalled Christian Bale for busyness in one carpet bombing career swoop, as it's been announced that the actor will first reprise his role as Jack Sparrow in a fourth Pirates of the Caribbean; play Tonto in The Lone Ranger, and then work with Tim Burton for the fifteenth time in Alice in Wonderland - where the quirky star will play The Mad Hatter. Jerry Bruckheimer is producing The Lone Ranger, while a director is yet to be cornered. It's not clear who exactly will return for the new 'Pirates' film. But it would seem to be pretty much a given that Orlando Bloom won't be making an appearance; which would, in turn, then throw Keira Knightley's involvement up in the air. The franchise needs a kick up the arse if they're going to keep it running; so a fresh start is a must. 'Alice' will be motion capture, along similar lines to last year's Beowulf.
