Arriving in Irish cinemas this October
The 'Death on the Nile' trailer is here to add a bit of mystery to your Wednesday.
Following the huge success of 'Murder on the Orient Express' from 2017 starring Johnny Depp, Daisy Ridley, Penelope Cruz, and Judi Dench, 'Death on the Nile' will once again see Kenneth Branagh's Poirot pick up a mysterious case in the far-flung location of Egypt where many a mysterious and intriguing character will be coming out of the woodwork.
Joining Kenneth Branagh this time around is another all-star cast to keep us entertained in the whodunnit. For the sequel, Poirot's line of suspects includes Gal Gadot, Russell Brand, Annette Bening, Dawn French, Tom Bateman, Ali Fazal, Armie Hammer, Rose Leslie, Sophie Okonedo, Jennifer Saunders, Letitia Wright and Emma Mackey. who you'll know from Netflix's 'Sex Education' and features prominently in the 'Death on the Nile' trailer.
Written by Michael Green, and produced by Ridley Scott, Mark Gordon, Judy Hofflund, Simon Kinberg, and Branagh, 'Death on the Nile' is another adaptation of Agatha Christie’s classic novel from 1937. The movie will be one of the first to be released by Disney under their 20th Century Fox rebrand, 20th Century Studios.
The official synopsis of this new take on the murder/mystery is as follows:
Belgian sleuth Hercule Poirot’s Egyptian vacation aboard a glamorous river steamer turns into a terrifying search for a murderer when a picture-perfect couple’s idyllic honeymoon is tragically cut short. Set against an epic landscape of sweeping desert vistas and the majestic Giza pyramids, this tale of unbridled passion and incapacitating jealousy features a cosmopolitan group of impeccably dressed travellers, and enough wicked twists and turns to leave audiences guessing until the final, shocking denouement.
