About as Western as a Western can get

The trailer for legendary director Walter Hill's 'Dead for a Dollar' has dropped.

The film boasts a stellar cast including Willem Dafoe, Christoph Waltz and Rachel Brosnahan in the main roles.

'Dead for a Dollar' follows a famed bounty hunter (Waltz) who runs into his sworn enemy (Dafoe), a professional gambler and outlaw that he had sent to prison years before, while on a mission to find and return the wife (Brosnahan) of a successful businessman who is being held hostage in Mexico. But standing in the way is an infamous gangster (Benjamin Bratt) who gets a piece of any action that happens along the Mexican border.

Brandon Scott, Warren Burke, Benjamin Bratt, Hamish Linklater, and Guy Burnet also star in the Western.

'Dead For a Dollar' is directed by two-time Emmy winner Walter Hill, who directed acclaimed modern films like '48 Hrs.' and 'Geronimo'. Hill produced Ridley Scott’s ground-breaking sci-fi horror blockbuster 'Alien'. He also produced subsequent spin-offs, including the three 'Aliens' sequels, 'Prometheus' and 'Alien: Covenant'.

Next week, Hill will debut the film at the 79th Venice Film Festival. He will also be honoured with the Cartier Glory to the Filmmaker Award.

Berry Meyerowitz, Neil Dunn, Carolyn McMaster, Kirk D’Amico and Jeremy Wall produced 'Dead For a Dollar'. Hill penned the film, with Waltz, Jeff Sackman, Larry Greenberg, Lawrence Mortorff and Alex Habrich exec producing.

'Dead For a Dollar' releases in US cinemas on September 30. An Irish date is yet to be announced.
