Horror site Bloody Disgusting is reporting that Scream 4 is to be penned by writer of the first two, Kevin Williamson. They're also saying that an offer is apparently on the cards for Wes Craven to come back to direct, and stars Neve Campbell, Courtney Cox Arquette and David Arquette to make cameos. The fourth installment in the slasher franchise will reportedly concentrate on a new gang of youngsters who get all carved up and the likes. The first film was a kick in the arse for horror, and still one of the best thrillers of all time (yeah, I said it) while the first sequel had was also excellent, with the second lacked the edge and smarts of the first two - but was still good fun. If Craven comes back to direct, I'm all over this, otherwise I really couldn't be arsed.
