Bradley Cooper, Ryan Reynolds and Justin Timberlake are apparently the three names in line to play The Green Lantern. According to The Hollywood Reporter, all three stars tested for the part twice, while Jared Leto, Irish actor Michael Fassbender and British thespian Henry Cavill also tested for the part. Martin Campbell is bringing the $200 million DC comic to the big screen, having rebooted Bond brilliantly with Casino Royale a few years back. But Reynolds is already set to play Marvel favourite Deadpool, so it's strange that he's even tested for this part, while Cooper has been linked with the role for months. I can't see Warner Bros. putting a $200 million franchise opener on the shoulders of Timberlake as he's too much of a risk, so the smart money is on Reynolds or Cooper - either of whom would be excellent.
