Writer of The Goonies, Chris Columbus is on the promotional trail for his new high school set comedy, I Love you, Beth Cooper and was predictably asked about a sequel to The Goonies: "I think the only way it could be done is if the kids are now the parents, and their kids have become the Goonies." Which isn't exactly ground-breakingly original, but would it really matter once people got to see a sequel? Anyhow, the only person they'd really have trouble persuading to come back would be Josh Brolin, as he's a right proper actor now, and a damn good one. Should they just leave the classic 80's film as it was? Or risk sodomising our memories with a poor sequel?
