The Irish contingent made their presence known at the event
There's just a few weeks to go until this year's Oscars.
As is the usual procedure, the nominees every year all meet for a 'luncheon' and a group photo in the lead-up to the ceremony; a change to mingle with their fellow nominees, network and meet some new faces.
As you may be aware, this year there is a record number of Irish nominees in the mix and many of them attended yesterday's luncheon.
'An Cailín Ciúin' director Colm Bairéad posted pictures from the event and is clearly living his best life as he and his wife Cleona Ní Chrualaoí (the film's producer) posed with the likes of Steven Spielberg, Alfonso Cuaron, Guillermo Del Toro and cinematographer Roger Deakins and his wife, James.
Other Irish nominees include 'The Banshees of Inisherin' gang - Colin Farrell, Brendan Gleeson, Barry Keoghan, Kerry Condon and Martin McDonagh - as well as actor Paul Mescal, who managed to situate himself in the front row of the group photo. Good man, Paul!
Tom Berkeley and Ross White, directors/writers of the short film 'An Irish Goodbye', were also there, as were Dublin-born editor Jonathan Redmond ('Elvis') and Richard Baneham (Best Visual Effects on 'Avatar: The Way of Water').
The Oscars take place on Sunday, March 12th.
