Clint Eastwood returns to his western roots
A trailer for 'Cry Macho', which is coming to cinemas later this year, has arrived.
As has been the case for many of his projects, Clint Eastwood directs from behind the camera as well as playing the lead in front of the camera in 'Cry Macho'.
Nick Schenk and N. Richard Nash penned the script, based on the novel by Nash.
Also starring in the feature are Eduardo Minett in his feature film debut, Natalia Traven, Dwight Yoakam, Fernanda Urrejola and Horacio Garcia-Rojas.
Clint Eastwood plays Mike Milo, a one-time rodeo star and washed-up horse breeder who, in 1979, takes a job from an ex-boss to bring the man’s young son home from Mexico.
Forced to take the backroads on their way to Texas, the unlikely pair faces an unexpectedly challenging journey, during which the world-weary horseman finds unexpected connections and his own sense of redemption.
Cline Eastwood is a four-time Oscar winner, earning awards for Best Picture and Best Director for both 'Unforgiven' and 'Million Dollar Baby'.
'Cry Macho' sees Eastwood return to his roots as he made a career for himself starring in such westerns as the 'Dollars' trilogy.
The movie hits cinemas on 12 November, 2021.
