Well, if you can't beat 'em, join 'em.
It seems those out there who are still turning their phones off during a movie are on the losing side of the battle, as cinemas in China are planning to launch a new program that will see the audience members' text messages displayed on screen.
According to The Guardian this type of thing, known as a 'bullet screen' is already a reality in Beijing, Shanghai and elsewhere in China, although mainly on an experimental basis. Audience members can send texts commenting on the film as it's taking place in front of their very eyes, and while that might cut down on the chit-chat, it might not be to everyone's liking.
Obviously, some screening does take place of the messages before they're displayed on screen, so all of you out there with filthy minds will have to keep your opinions to yourself.
