Chris Tucker has not made a film outside of the Rush Hour franchise since 1998, and even the last one of those was awful and in 2008. The former comedian in apparently now in talks to join David O 'Russell's The Silver Linings Playbook, reports Variety.
Bradley Cooper will star in novel adaptation 'Playbook' as a teacher who spends some time in a mental institution after his marriage collapses. Jennifer Lawrence is set as a neighbour he becomes involved with when he gets out, while Robert De Niro is being heavily linked with playing his father. Tucker would play a friend of Cooper's, who he meets in the mental institution.
O'Russell last directed the Oscar winning boxing flick The Fighter, with his star Mark Wahlberg initially attached to 'Playbook'.
