Kick Ass actress Chloe Moretz has landed the lead role in the remake/new adaptation of the Brian De Palma film/Stephen King Novel, Carrie.
Mortez broke the news via her own twitter page saying, "Never been so happy in my life! Thank you Kim Pierce and thank u MGM for the chance of a lifetime I will never forget!" Pierce is responsible for the gritty character driven films, Boys Don't Cry and Stop Loss; with Hilary Swank winning an Oscar for her work on the former. Moretz may also have a point with this "chance of a lifetime" malarkey as original stars Sissy Spacek and Piper Laurie were both nominated for Oscars for their work on the 1976 flick.
Production on this one should move ahead swiftly.
