Though she has now sadly left this world behind, Carrie Fisher still remains in our hearts and minds.
She - that is to say, her likeness - adorned many posters during last week's Women's March, many people have been sharing quotes and jokes about Fisher and, of course, there was her urn that was shaped like a giant Prozac pill.
If ever there was a woman who could make people laugh after death, it was Carrie Fisher. Still, it appears as though she isn't finished as Fisher had a very specific request when it came to her place in the Oscars' annual In Memoriam reel. In a recently unearthed interview from 2010 with the podcast Rebel Force Radio, Fisher's request involved her Star Wars co-star Harrison Ford.
"I asked him (Harrison Ford) if he would be in my death reel, and if he would sing,” Fisher explained. “It’s just something I want. They did that thing with John Hughes where they brought out all the actors who worked with him so, I figured they’ll bring out, depending on when it happens, there’s a lot of people they can bring out, he's gonna sing Melancholy Wookiee..."
When asked about Ford's singing abilities, Fisher replied that she hadn't that and that "I don’t think we’re missing much."
The Oscars have confirmed that Fisher will most likely featurein the annual In Memoriam reel, but that so far, a separate tribute is unlikely.
