It marks her first big screen role since 'Hustlers'
In case you missed it, Vin Diesel revealed last October that Cardi B will be part of the cast for the new 'Fast & Furious'.
The actor has since explained how Cardi ended up being cast.
This will mark the rapper's second feature film performance having previous played Diamond in the hit movie 'Hustlers'.
In 'Fast & Furious 9' or 'F9', she'll join the likes of Charlize Theron, Helen Mirren, Tyrese Gibson, Jordana Brewster, Michelle Rodriguez, Ludacris and Nathalie Emmanuel.
John Cena is another new cast member to the series. Justin Lin, who directed the third to sixth chapters of the franchise, returns to the director's seat. Another returning face is Sun Kang, who played Han in 'Tokyo Drift'. (he died but as with Michelle Rodriguez's Letty, he's back again)
Diesel said it was actually his daughter who encouraged him to have Cardi B join the crew.
"I said it's a great idea," he told Jimmy Kimmel. "I was actually listening to 'I Like It Like That.'
"Then you have to go through the writers and to write and create a role that would work for the mythology."
What her exact character will be has yet to be disclosed.
'Fast & Furious 9' revs into cinemas on 22nd May.
