Mention the name Tim Roth and the first films that come to mind are Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs, so naturally, our Caroline was rather excited to head along to meet the screen legend while he was in town for the Jameson Dublin International Film Festival.
With an array of critically acclaimed films and an Oscar nomination under his belt, Roth is an actor who certainly needs no introduction. His latest film, Broken, was one of the highlight's of JDIFF 2013, with Tim and his cast mate Cillian Murphy turning out for the gala screening on the Festival's opening night. Broken tells the story of 12-year-old Skunk, who's life falls apart when her best friend, a young man with learning disabilities, is accused of sexually abusing a teenage girl who lives in her estate.
Roth stars as the young girl's father, a humble solicitor who's working hard to bring up his kids. He tells our Caroline how he came across the movie and eventually got the part, and fills her in on what it was like to work with newcomer Eloise Laurence. Of course, the pair also have a chat about Roth's highly successful career and we find out which film Roth considers the game changer.
Broken hits Irish cinemas on March 8th, and you can read our review right here.
