*Sings* Go Go Power Rangers...
The forthcoming Power Rangers movie adaptation just majorly upped its game by casting one of our faves, Bryan Cranston of Breaking Bad fame, in the role of Zordon. Now we're interested.
But this isn't Cranston's first foray into the Power Rangers world; back in the 90s, he voiced Snizard and Twin Man on the series, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, a revelation he revealed only recently on The Colbert Report.
As for the Power Rangers' cast themselves, well they're all relatively unknown, which isn't a bad thing, but Cranston and his co-star Elizabeth Banks (who takes on the role of his nemisis Rita Repulsa) would be necessary for that star power appeal. For those who forget the hit TV show from the good ole days of yore, the story centres on five American teens who join forces against evil as the Power Rangers in some impressively tight body suits. The movie is due for release in March 2017.
Welcome @BryanCranston as #Zordon! Fun fact: Billy Cranston aka #BlueRanger was named after him! #PowerRangersMovie pic.twitter.com/Su3A4rppMM
