Bradley Cooper has apparently turned down an offer to star in the Steven Soderbergh directed big screen adaptation of The Man From U.N.C.L.E. reports The Wrap.
Cooper's agents really went after the part for the actor, after George Clooney was forced to pull out of the film citing the physicality of the action sequences. The part of Napoleon Solo was then offered to both Matt Damon and Johnny Depp - both of whom passed for one reason or another. When Cooper was announced as a frontrunner, a deal was expected to but put in place swiftly. But for whatever reason it just hasn’t happened. Soderbergh will likely turn to a fresher name; maybe a Michael Fassbender, Sam Worthington or Henry Cavill type? Thing is, any in demand actor is busy so scheduling may be a problem.
Joel Edgerton, who was excellent in Warrior, is being linked with the part of Russian spy Illya Kuryakin.
