Bradley Cooper is one hell of a guy. Not only did he blow our minds for his portrayal of a man battling with Bipolar disorder in Silver Linings Playbook (a performance that earned him an Academy Award nomination), he seems a top bloke in real life too. He doesn't measure his success in the number of gongs he has gathering dust on his shelves, he's got his head screwed on far too much for that. Having been beaten to Best Actor Oscar punch by Daniel Day Lewis, the The Hangover actor has opened up to GQ about how winning wouldn't have changed a thing. Having experienced first hand the passing of his beloved father two years ago, Cooper no longer sweats the small stuff.
"My father gave me two gifts - having me and dying with me. I used to be the kid that got the shakes if I had to talk in public; now, I just don't get nervous about stuff. I can't control everything."
"I don't want to win an Oscar. It would change nothing. Nothing. The things in my life that aren't fulfilled would not be fulfilled. Career-wise, right now, it's better that I don't win one. I don't want to win. I don't."
Hard not to love him, right?
