Leitch previously helmed 'Deadpool 2', 'Hobbs & Shaw', and co-directed 'John Wick'
Fresh off his Oscar win for 'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood', Brad Pitt has his next gig lined up. It's one that action movie fans are going to love.
The actor will star in action-thriller 'Bullet Train', directed by David Leitch.
Leitch, who will also supervise the script, has had a number of impressive credits in recent years.
After co-directing 'John Wick' with Chad Stahelski, he helmed the impressive 2017 Charlize Theron starrer 'Atomic Blonde'.
The following year he directed 'Deadpool 2'. Then he was the director of 'Fast & Furious' spin-off 'Hobbs & Shaw'.
'Bullet Train' is based on the Japanese novel 'Maria Beetle' by best-selling author Kotaro Isaka.
Antoine Fuqua ('Training Day', 'The Equaliser') is one of the producers on the Sony movie.
'Lights Out' co-producer Zak Olkewicz is writing the screenplay.
Its synopsis reads: "Five assassins aboard a fast moving bullet train find out their missions have something in common."
No other cast announcements have been made and it's too early for a release date.
Brad Pitt is also lined up to star in Damien Chazelle's ('La La Land', 'Whiplash') next movie 'Babylon', with Emma Stone and Tobey Maguire. It shoots in 2021 so the actor will likely film 'Bullet Train' before it.
