"Let’s mess it up."
The final big-budget blockbuster of the summer is set for release in cinemas this weekend and the main star of the action film has been making headlines for his recent fashion choices.
Brad Pitt set the internet ablaze when pictures of him wearing a skirt trickled online a couple of weeks ago at the Berlin premiere of his newest film, 'Bullet Train'.
The 58-year-old is currently busy doing the press circuit for the action/comedy/crime blockbuster from director David Leitch, which also stars Sandra Bullock, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Brian Tyree Henry, Bad Bunny, Zazie Beetz and Joey King.
While on the press tour for the film, Brad Pitt stepped out in a linen skirt and blazer in Germany, pairing his brown look with a pink shirt.
Asked by Variety on Monday night at the Los Angeles premiere what his inspiration for the look was, Pitt was pretty nonchalant about the whole thing.
He said: "I don’t know! We’re all going to die, so let’s mess it up."
The Hollywood star, who plays a hired killer named Ladybug in the film, also confessed that he's not a big fan of doing his own stunts - a necessary part of this recent action-heavy blockbuster. He admitted: "I try to get out of it. I love a stuntman.
"This one was action-comedy, something I’ve never done before. David and I had always been big fans of Jackie Chan. We’d been talking about him for decades. He’s kind of our Buster Keaton. He’s so talented and underrated even. Just to do something in that direction was what was really appealing to me."
The 'Meet Joe Black' and 'Ocean's Eleven' star has been having a wild time on the press circuit for the film, as you can see from the assortment of pictures below.
Instead of acting front and centre, Pitt has recently taken to producing a number of upcoming titles - and he's got a pretty hefty number of productions on the way. He served as an executive producer on two recent Prime Video TV series - 'Outer Range' and 'Paper Girls' - and he's also attached to the upcoming 'Blonde' release, based on Marilyn Monroe. Netflix's 'The Three-Body Problem' series adaptation has also secured him as an executive producer.
